Most English words are actually quite similar to Portuguese, due to their Latin route.
So here a few examples that will blow your mind!
English words ending in -ation —> change it to -ção
Population - População
Administration - Administração
Identification - Identificação
Transformation - Transformação
Communication - Comunicação
Information - Informação
Destination - Destinação
Imagination - Imaginação
Education - Educação
Medication - Medicação
Nation - Nação
Etc.
English words ending in -ity —> change it to -dade
City - Cidade
Simplicity - Simplicidade
Naturality - Naturalidade
Capacity - Capacidade
Anxiety - Ansiedade
Identity - Identidade
Etc.
English words ending in -lly or -ly —> change it to -mente
Naturally - Naturalmente
Genetically - Geneticamente
Recently - Recentemente
Intensely - Intensamente
Apparently - Aparentemente
Etc.
English words ending in -ence or -ency —> change it to -ência
Essence - Essência
Frequence - Frequência
Conscience - Consciência

Here are some simple exercises you can do at home, to practise what you have just learnt.
EXERCISE 1
Please translate the following to Portuguese:
This population has apparently a lot of education.
The medication is fatal.
The essence of life is, naturally, the simplicity of the little things.
Your conscience is genetically controlled.
Science has recently changed.
